Are you making sales monthly from people who surf your website? Everybody has a website, and you may occasionally get some leads, but are you are letting your most effective tool evaporate before your eyes?
Studies by the National Association of Realtors® prove as high as 77% of home buyers surf the Internet to research properties. But surfing doesn’t help you unless you are capturing it. Just like when you host an open house, your goal is to capture traffic and convert it into leads. Is your website doing the same thing?
Here are 3 simple ideas for improving your website and capturing more traffic:
- Update Regularly. If you’re not a tech expert, hire one or check out a site you can build on your own. You don’t have to spend a fortune, but you do have to be twenty-first century savvy. The Internet is a home buyer’s first stop.
- Offer Information. To generate future business, offer more than listings. You need to offer information that makes the reader want to surf your site and give you their information so you can stay in touch. Give away reports on the local area, for instance, offering the school scores for the neighborhood schools and links to their websites. But before giving away the report, request their email address and permission to send your newsletter monthly.
- Provide a Newsletter. Newsletters are great sources of information about communities and neighborhoods. Make your newsletter even more effective by combining it with your website. Buyers will subscribe to it, get it delivered via email – saving you postage, plus provide that frequent contact so when they are ready to buy, they contact you.
Adding these ideas is a start to turning your website into a lead machine. But also consider your site’s design.
With good site design and traffic capturing strategies you could be enjoying more leads and sales. The Internet is continuing to grow, and with it - home buyers searching for properties.
