Photos Evoke Memories of Home
I'm in Philadelphia visiting my Mom and sister for a couple of days, after 4 days in Washington DC for the NAR/CRS meetings, and heading back to the Left Coast tomorrow.
It's been a whirlwind trip, with lots of memories from living on the East Coast years ago, both in the Philadelphia area and near DC.
I've been doing some work around the house to help my Mom (and there's a lot to do given the size of the house and the yard) and strolling around the yard brought back memories of living back East, particularly New England.
I've never lived in the house my Mother lives in now, but seeing the flowers and plants - iris, hostas, ivy, dogwood, rhododendron, azalea - brought back memories of living in New England for many years, since we don't have these plants in our area of Southern California where we now live. So of course I whipped out my camera.
It's interesting how seeing photos, which I can continue to enjoy, evoke memories of home. A former home, of course, but fond memories nonetheless.
Enjoy
