I admit to not being a big Survivor watcher but we all take a little pride when one of our own wins big. Alliances: Your most important alliance is to pick a skilled real estate agent to represent your interests as a buyer. Your buyers agent can bring in other professionals to assist you and to strengthen the alliance.
Immunity: Well, until the deal is closed, I am sorry to say that there is not much immunity in real estate. However, getting a solid pre-approval from a reputable mortgage lender can help give you as much immunity as possible. You need more than a pre-approval to submit with your offer. You need a preapproval from a lender who has done their homework to make sure that the pre-approval can turn into a closed transaction.
Strategy: Your buyers agent can work together with you and your loan officer can assist you in determining how much you can afford. Look to your buyers agent for guidance on what communities to look in and how far your buying power will take you in those communties. Once you have found the house you want to buy, your buyers agent can work with you to develop a strategy before placing that offer.
