The big secret about Pueblo is that there are no secrets! I've said it before and I'll say it again. Everybody knows everybody else, everyone is related to everyone else and they all deny it! For a county of approx 125,000 Pueblo is a small town. A large number of the natives have never left the county except for special circumstance. Pueblo is the only town I've ever been in where it is more unusual to not see somebody you know at the store, restaurant or dentist than it is see a familiar face.
But in my opinion this is what makes a community. It's sort of like when you got in trouble at school and your parents knew about it before you got home. Pueblo has this great communication going all the time. There is no need for a telephone book. There is only one degree of separation. And how you greet a stranger in Pueblo? Ask them "Where did you go to school?" The answer will tell a native everything they want to know about you.
Awhile back I quizzed somebody who was trying to sell me advertising. "If your wife called and asked you to bring home a cake for a special occasion and oh by the way the kitchen sink is dripping, what would you do?" The smile on his face was answer enough. We all know who makes the best cakes in town and one of the local plumbers has a dozen trucks running around town with advertising wrapped on their trucks.
So what is the big secret about Pueblo? Everybody knows you and most everything about you. There are no secrets.

Small town living...you can't beat it. My town has a population of about 8,000 and that is real small.
