Giving Away My Pictures - HURRY THIS WON'T LAST TOO LONG :)

Hi,

I wanted to ask you a question.  When I say YOU, I mean everyone who uses postcards or other printed material to reach their potential and existing customers.

I am thinking of giving away one the following pictures.  Which one would you be using on your mailing?  I am assuming that you are sending out postcards or other sorts of printed communication using seasonal holidays, event, etc in your marketing.

And if you wouldn't, let me know why you wouldn't so that I can have an idea of what I should be taking the picture of...

1- Fall

2- Fall

3-Fall

Let me know which one you would like to use...  I'll send a full resolution image to those who would like to use it.

Also, I am planning on putting my name at the bottom of the image.  With the name of the photographer at the bottom of the image, would you still be using it?

Thank you for your feedback in advance

Met Dilsiz

Sandi & Sandra: thank you for your kind words

Great pictures; I like the bottom one best with the tress.  I wouldn't mind a photographers signature at the bottom.

You know what I would love to see, is a picture with KIDS and PUPPIES in front of a house.  When I had an assortment of pictures of kids and puppies in an old office a few years back, all my clients commented on them.  Ever since I've been looking for a picture Kid and Puppies in a local Utah yard, something where you can see they live here with a mountain view.  I'd buy that.

10/08/2007 05:05 PM by Rain Wallace (Citywide Home Loans)

Rain, thank you for your compliment.  I will try to get a picture of kids and pets with the mountain background.  The only thing that is hard for me is that I don't have any pets and only one 4-year old, and two 15-year olds  :)

I will have to talk to my friends and se if I can get that arranged.  I will let you know when I have it  :)

Benjamin,

Graphic Design and Marketing is a specialty of mine  :)  I'll help you come up with something.  Just give me the CONCEPT, and the rest is mine

I like numbers 2 and 3.  I personally find the first one's colours are too busy for my taste.  I don't have a problem with the photographers name on the photo.

10/08/2007 10:53 PM by Uta Marshall - REALTOR® Prince George, BC (Century 21 Bob Sutton (PG) Ltd)

Hi Uta,

thank you for your comments...  Yes the first one is a little to busy, I agree with you... it makes a nice background with 30% transparency...

10/08/2007 11:10 PM by Mehmet Met Dilsiz (FND Photography)

All those photos are beautiful Mehmet, but I'm partial to the 1st one.  Thanks for sharing them with us.

10/09/2007 07:51 AM by Julie Neerings~Lifting Hearts ♥ Building Dreams~Utah REALTOR® (Keller Williams Salt Lake City)

I absolutely love all the color in the first one, and the composition in the third is wonderful. Great job!

Beautiful shots, I should take you on vacation with me when my wife and I go to Tenn in a few weeks...Mike N

10/09/2007 11:34 AM by Mike Norvell Sr., Developers Capital Realty (Developers Capital Realty, LLC)

KAY:  thank you very much. I like the third one for marketing purposes.  As a matter of fact, last night I used it for a promotional print ad  :)

MIKE:  I'd love to go to Tenn...  I used to live in SE Missouri, and went to Tennessee few times, and it is a beautiful state in the Fall....  You guys have a blast... and TAKE SOME PICTURES so we can see them

10/09/2007 01:05 PM by Mehmet Met Dilsiz (FND Photography)

Met, Hi I love your pictures my favorite is 1 then 3 I could use both on my flyers plus postcards. Thank you so much for sharing.Debra Siglin   Salt Lake

Those are very, very beautiful pictures!  Thanks for sharing!

10/10/2007 01:38 AM by Robert Monk Florida Real Estate (100% Realty, Inc.)

Met, your photographs are brilliant. However I would not use them for marketing. What value do they bring to your client?

10/10/2007 02:18 AM by Rob Baldwin, Santa Clarita REALTOR® (Pinnacle Estate Properties)

I like the one with the picket fence, but I would be reluctant to use one with the photographer's name, because it may raise a question about "permission to use".  Karen

10/10/2007 05:48 AM by Karen Kruschka - One of the most experienced agents in Northern Virginia (RE/MAX Allegiance)

Good pictures. I like the first one the best. It has fall colors good for the season.

10/10/2007 06:16 AM by GITA BANTWAL, REALTOR BUCKS COUNTY, PA HOMES (ReMax Centre Realtors)

ROBERT: Thank you for kind words, sir.

ROB: Thank you for commenting.  I don't know if I get your question right, but generally the agents who do regular mailing have themes based on the season.  I thought of the pictures as a soft background with some tips for lawn and/or some other fall tips.

KAREN:  Thank you for your comment.  I've got a question for you... Why would it rasie a question about the permission to use?  If I am the photographer and give the "permission to use", I don't see a problem.  But maybe I am misunderstanding you

GITA:  Thank you ma'am... The first one has the fall colors for sure  :)

10/10/2007 11:16 AM by Mehmet Met Dilsiz (FND Photography)

The first picture is the most colorful and this particualar picture will stand out much better than the remaining two.

10/10/2007 11:39 AM by David Valley (Massachusetts Home Inspections)

Hi David...

Thank you for you comments and feedback.  The first one has a little BOOM factor to it, with all the colors.  For a postcard with the picture, the first one is the best option... you are absolutely right

10/10/2007 01:26 PM by Mehmet Met Dilsiz (FND Photography)

Hi Mehmet - I love the bottom picture, there's something special there.  The other two are nice, but the bottom one seems to stand out somehow.  Thanks for sharing.

10/10/2007 03:43 PM by Lori B. Andican (RE/MAX Superior)

Lori,

the thing about the third one is that the trees and the shade leave too much to the mind to imagine....

at least that is why the third one is more special to me, than the other ones

10/10/2007 04:11 PM by Mehmet Met Dilsiz (FND Photography)

I like the first picture. It looks great. We do not have fall here in the west just hot and cool. Ha

10/10/2007 05:38 PM by Alan Kirkpatrick Austin Texas Real Estate (Austin Texas Homes)

Met, The first one is my favorite...it's nature's stop light...green on the left...yellow in the middle...red on the right.  All of them are absolutely awesome and I think this is a great way to market to your clientele!

10/10/2007 05:44 PM by Shannon Lefevre Naples, Florida CRS (John R. Wood REALTORS Inc.)

WOW those pictures really make me miss NY!  They are beautiful!  Where did you take them?

10/10/2007 11:35 PM by Penny Florence (Keller Williams-Salt Lake City)

ALAN: Thank you.  For the past few years we had a week or two of fall, other than that it has been hot to cold  :)

SHANNON:  That is too funny.  i never thought about it  :) and thank you for your kind words...

PENNY:  Get ready for frustration  :)  I took these in Utah... I went up the canyon (15 minutes from my home) and we have camping sites along the river... this is one of the paths to the camping sites .  And, thank you...

10/11/2007 01:11 AM by Mehmet Met Dilsiz (FND Photography)

I like the first one, I love simple photos they seem to say the most to me. It lets you decide the meaning of a photo.

10/13/2007 12:15 AM by Todd Clark (Realtor), GRI (Washington Co, Beaverton, Oregon) (Kastings & Associates, Oregon)

As a photographer I can tell you that the first has the most potential. To be constructive I would say the second has too much going on in the background that is undefined and the third is very pleasant but not what I would use for a post card because there is little drawing the eye's attention. Hope that helps a bit.

10/15/2007 04:15 PM by Shellee Ashmore (The Inner Iris Real Estate Photography)

TODD:  Thank you for your comment sir

SHELEE: Thank you for your comments, and I do agree with you that the first one is a potential for a postcard.  I've used the thrid one recently, on one of my marketing flyers... The portait pictures make it nice for flyers.

10/15/2007 04:20 PM by Mehmet Met Dilsiz (FND Photography)

Ugg Jealous I miss being up north and experiencing the fall leaves. I dont really send much out for the fall since I am in Florida it's kind of pointless we dont have much of a change of season.

10/15/2007 06:42 PM by Orlando & Lake Mary Real Estate Expert, Heather Joubran (RE/MAX Central Realty)

You are so kind to give away your beautiful pictures. Very nice of you.

I like the first one the best, the tree has character.  I like the #3  second best, it is an interesting treeline.

10/18/2007 10:01 AM by Candy Henthorne- Spring Texas Real Estate (Results Realty)

Nice pictures.  Are they from New England?

10/18/2007 12:54 PM by Martin Abeshaus (ZIPVO)

CANDY:  Thank you for your kind words

MARTIN:  No, you wont' believe but these are from UTAH (up in the mountains)

10/18/2007 01:11 PM by Mehmet Met Dilsiz (FND Photography)

Wow, great photo's.  Number one is my favorite.  And I dont think anyone should have a problem with names on the bottom of the photo is only right/nice to let people know who did the hard work of taking the great pictures.

10/18/2007 04:00 PM by Stephen Joos & Chris Brubaker- HouseFront (HouseFront)

Thank you Stephen..  Depending on what I use the image for, first and third become my favorites  :)

10/18/2007 04:47 PM by Mehmet Met Dilsiz (FND Photography)

Number 3 is my fave - though they are all very nicely done. Number one would be a heck of a jigsaw puzzle!!

10/18/2007 05:52 PM by Karen Haberstro-Walls,redesigner & stager (Easy Does It Redesign & Consulting)

Karen, that is funny.. I never thought about it, but you are absolutely right... that will make a great jigsaw puzzle  :)
