Monterey Hills is a planned community within the city of Los Angeles but remains somewhat unknown despite its convenient location. Close to Downtown Los Angeles, Pasadena/San Gabriel Valley, Glendale/Burbank/San Fernando Valley and the Westside. Many employees and residents at the USC Health Science Campus on Mission Road find the Monterey Hills community an ideal location. I have sold units to students and/or their parents who believe this is a wise short and sometimes a long term investment. If you are not ready to buy, Monterey Hills offers some lease opportunities as well.
The Monterey Hills community's first properties opened in 1979 with Bradley Court the community's newest development constructed in 2000. Most of the communities offer a pool/spa while some have tennis courts, recreation rooms, meeting rooms, sauna. You will often find nice hillside views. It is not uncommon to find people with their dogs at Budd Weiner Park or strolling around the neighborhood. Fresco Community Market has recently opened at Via Marisol and Monterey Road with groceries as well as a large selection of ready-to-go food and a coffee lounge with internet access.
