5 Fun Things To Do on a Rainy Day in San Diego!
San Diego is not know for it’s rain. We typically only get about 10 inches of rain a year. But this year has been particularly rainy and with the current SPRING STORM (insert mock scream here), I thought it was a good time to remember some fun things to do in the rain!
-
BIRCH AQUARIUM: If you haven’t been to this phenomenal aquarium in La Jolla, you must go! They have the most amazing exhibits. I love the seahorses!
- CASINOS: Don’t have time or gas money for a road trip to Vegas? There is no shortage of casinos in San Diego. Whether you are in North County, where there’s Pala, Harrah’s and Valley View to name a few or in San Diego Central, where you can jet over to Viejas, Barona, Golden Acorn, slot machines are a fun way to spend a rainy day!
- MIRAMAR SPEED CIRCUIT: Go Kart-ing Inside! A quarter of a mile track that is considered one of the best indoor tracks in America. FUN.
- INDOOR MALLS: Most of San Diego’s malls are inside. So when it’s rainy, you can do some retail therapy to brighten your mood inside!
- MUSEUMS: Balboa Park has loads of awesome museums. Some of my favorites are the Museum of Man, Museum of Art, and The Fleet Science Center (which also has an amazing IMAX movie theater- a favorite for the kids).
So, it’s raining! Who cares with all these fun things to do?
