As you're aware, last June Chestermere raised over $113,000 for the fight against cancer through the Relay for Life event. Most people participating had a personal connection to the disease, either having had cancer themselves, or having a loved one who was currently fighting it or who had lost the battle. For the Community Services Department of the Town, it was very personal as one of our staff members was fighting cancer at the time and our team's name reflects that: M*A*S*H (Make a Survivor Happen). We were thrilled to find out at the event that our deepest wishes had come true - that our staff member had just gotten the news from her doctor that she was in remission!! We invite you to join us in the continuing fight against this disease by supporting our fundraiser - cancer CAN be beaten!
Team M*A*S*H will be selling pizzas from Coco Brooks - if you've ever had one, you know they're unparalleled!! The order form is attached and you'll be impressed by the number of options, including gluten free. Pizzas are personal pan size and they will be delivered to you frozen on June 29th or 30th. They range in price from $5 - $8 and the order form is attached. The order form and payment in cash needs to get to me by June 15th (sorry, we're not set up to accept other forms of payment). You have a number of options:
- bringing them to me at my office at the Town
- leaving them with Rona at the Community Services front desk in the atrium at Town Hall if I'm not in
- leaving me a message at (403) 207-7065 or lbrankovich@chestermere.ca so I can make arrangements for your order form and payment to be picked up.
