"Do I Really Need An Inspector?"
This is a very interesting article or blog that I read recently here on Active Rain. I decided to take advantage of the re-blog feature here, so others can also enjoy this read. Thanks
Many times, I am asked if a home inspection is a necessary part of the real estate transaction. The answer that always comes to mind is no, provided you have an exemplary understanding of all the workings of the components in the home and X-ray vision. To date, I haven't met anyone that meets those qualifications so I guess an inspection is in order. All kidding aside, it is a critical part of the process and necessary to have "peace of mind" with your home purchase. I recommend getting a qualified inspector on any purchase, regardless of price range of your home. The few hundred dollars that an inspection costs may save unnecessary expenses down the road.
So, unless you have X-ray vision, do yourself a favor and get an inspection...........
