Larry and Sheila, This is good information for people who will bw visiting the area this summer. Nice picture.
Good morning, Larry & Sheila. I really like lighthouses. They are part of Americana and the wanderlust of the sea...
I just love lightouses, and I remember visiting the Montauk Lighthouse as a kid. Lighthouses have such a romantic appeal although the lighthouse tenders probably wouldn't agree with that.
Great informational post about the area, Larry/Sheila.
Larry & Sheila - I have been to Long Island several times and love it. I think anything to do with lighthouses is interesting and there seems to be a certain mystic about them. This is a good read!

Larry and Sheila,
Lighthouses are a symbol of a haven and safety. They are beautiful and a special reminder of days gone by. I love that so many people are restoring them. All the best, A

We have two lighthouses here, an old historic non-working one and a working one. I'd love to visit the working one but it's off limits.
Hi,
Did the creep from yesterday ever call and explain?
I like lighthouses also. The closest is in Santa Cruz, about 25 miles from here. They converted the old house next to the lighthouse into a "surf museum" with historic surfer photo, boards, etc.
Larry and Sheila--There is just something about lighthouses. Everybody loves them. That is a wonderful photograph---that could be an entry in the Photo Blogger Contest!
