New In Town, Sailor?

Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Residential

Are you thinking about relocating from another part of the country or the state?  Before you begin actually looking at the insides of houses, the first step is to decide what town you want to live in.  Don't laugh. That may sound really, really basic.  It is basic.   But you would be surprised how often people call me and want to go look at houses before they have even committed to living in my state.

That is what happened today.  I had a buyer, a referral from corporate who has spent the last several days with another agent with my company.  The agent spent two days showing him houses in Ft Worth.  Now he wanted to see houses in Dallas.  It is fair to ask if he is going on to Houston and San Antonio next.

Learning about what sort of housing is available in a town you are considering is completely reasonable.  And, I am a great resource, a good place to get that information.  The best way to use me as a resource in making the decision about what town to move to is to come into my office and talk with me.  Lets sit down together and talk about your housing needs.  But, at this point, as much as you may want to go look, it just isn't time to go see the insides of houses.  Patience Grasshopper!

I have years of experience and knowledge of the community.  I am delighted to share that information with you.  I can mark up a map of neighborhoods that have the types of homes you are looking for.  Or we can sit together in front of an office computer and go through homes in those neighborhoods.  I can give you a print out list of those homes and you can plug them into your GPS and go drive around those neighborhoods.  It really helps the decision making process for you to drive the streets yourself without me.  That way you can poke around and look at things, stop if you want to, drive down alleys if you decide to go that direction.

Hope that helps...
