I don't know what made me think of this today...
When I first started this business, I was trying to arrange to show a home to a potential buyer. It was a little tough because the agent had to be there to open the house and the sellers, while very lovely, had limited times the home could be shown. Arranging a time that was convenient for everybody was proving to be challenging. The listing agent then said to me, "I know this isn't the easiest home to show, so if you'd like, I'd be happy to show the home to your buyers for you while fully respecting that they are your clients." I was so impressed. Then and there, I decided that that was the kind of agent I wanted to be.
We all have witnessed true professionals who have left a lasting impression on us (often unknowingly) and, by their example have made us better agents.
