Addison's Pooch Patrol

Addison TX, Get caught picking up after your pet in Addison and you might be rewarded! 

Addison's Park & Public Works staff members who see pet owners scoopin' the poop may bestow a $5 off coupon for pet supplies and services on the pet owner.  These coupons are redeemable at the PetSmart store at 3800 Beltline Road in Addison.

According to Chris Terry, Assistant City Manager, "Our animal control officer could, of course, issue a citation when she observes someone not cleaning up after their pet, but we'd really rather reward citizens for doing the right thing rather than penalize them."

Thanks to PetSmart for supporting the Town's efforts!

How interesting.  What a different approach for getting people to pick up after their animal.

There are waste stations in the parks with plastic bags.  The town really tries to make it easy on the dog owners.

How funny, i never thought of doing something like that. I wonder at peoples ingenuity sometimes. With so many people and pets out and about it is a great idea to encourage consideration.
