Short Sale with Dignity  http://www.SantaCruzCountyShortSales.com

If you are facing foreclosure and considering a short sale, there is much more to think about than just numbers, credit repercussions, and finances.  There is your self-worth and sense of pride to make allowances for as well. The two things have to exist together in a balanced way.

This is your home. The purchase of your home was most likely one of the most emotionally driven decisions you have ever made. Whether it was your first home purchase or your fifth, it still holds many memories, holiday dinners, remodeling projects, and laughter. Even if the home is in distress due to a divorce, job loss or struggling to put food on the table and pay the light bill, this it is still the place where you feel comfortable and has a certain amount of security for you.

I am a short sale real estate expert who is interested in more than simply making another San Lorenzo Valley property sale. I'm well aware of the unfortunate circumstances that all my clients have recently found themselves in and I take great care to work in a positive and sympathetic way that will give you the confidence you need during this stressful time.

My sign won't say it is a short sale, I don't put that it is a short sale on the public marketing materials and I definitely don't share that info with your neighbor.  I will help clean, paint, do some repairs and pack.  I will bring my truck and do dump runs. I encourage my sellers to call at all hours to ask questions and get updates. I will let you vent your frustration when you need to tell someone just how much this sucks.

The short sale has the potential to destroy your dignity and self-esteem if not handled correctly. Generally, the decision to let your home go to a short sale is wise since it can relieve you of a huge financial burden, but it is never an easy choice.  Months and even years of attempting to save your home are usually what lead to a short sale decision. By then most are pretty beaten up and left numb while others have a heighten sensitivity and are on the verge of a serious emotional breakdown.

Once you've made the decision to consider a short sale, you need to list your home with a real estate agent who has your best interests in mind and will help direct you in a positive way. I have decades of experience and have handled 27 short sales in the Santa Cruz County.  Every single client gave testimony that I was effective in the mechanics of the short sale and all expressed that I completed their short sale with attention to their dignity.

When I first became an agent many told me my shortcoming was I was too committed to my client's emotional needs & didn't keep it all about the business.  Well my shortcoming is a feature  . . . . not a bug when it comes to representing a Seller in a short sale!
