3 Comments on How Aging in Place Keeps You in Your Home, in Washington DC, Bethesda, Chevy Chase (Part 3)
This is such an important issue...worth all of us becoming involved in the aging issues.
Alex, very interesting. My parents, in their 80s are in the Northern VA area and have chosen to stay in their home. There are struggles however and one factor is how the traffic has increased, causing trips to drs. grocery stores, church, take so much longer
Janice, your parents may consider moving to a retirenment community. My parents live in the Leasure World.
On another hand, while I can't help them with driving around, as a Certified Aging in Place specialist, I can help them to be more comfortable in their home, if they need it of course. We are talking "no thrashold showers, grab bars etc.
