Who Is YOUR "Social Media Guru"?

My Social Media Guru is Andrea Revenant of 3rd Street Tattoo in Hermosa Beach, California.

She is also my youngest daughter. Gen Y at its FINEST!  I learn so much by her example!

Dustin Luther was my Numero Uno "blog-rules" guy for many years...but let's face it. He's getting old! Time for some new blood!

If your Social Media Guru is OVER 30...well as Jack Weinberg said it best "Don't Trust Anyone over 30!"

Dustin taught me all about not deleting anything, once it's up it's "carved in stone" and you lose credibility if you delete what you don't like and only leave up what you do like.

Well...apparently NOT SO!

My Andrea will delete me so fast I hardly remember I posted something on her facebook page. She's a "MOM ZAPPER" AND an awesome example of protecting one's Brand and Image!

My stuff is deleted so fast from her facebook page it leaves my head spinning.

She must have a VERY SMART PHONE (which I bought for her of course). Because she knows within one freakin' second if Mom posted something on her facebook or Heaven Forbid...TAGGED her on facebook...and BOOM...GONE...I swear in less than 5 seconds.

She probably won't like this "Poster" I made of her either...but Mom knows a few tricks too.

She can't ZAP me over here in "MyPlace".

Well, Ardell, she may be a Zapper, but she's a darned stunning one! I guess you could say she's a stunner in more ways than one, if she's a ZAPPER.  Hey, at least you're safe here.

Plus her name is wonderful, that's my sister's and I have always loved it.  However, she never gets called Andrea, it's always Andy.

Thanks Gayle. I just tried to tag her on facebook and she has me BLOCKED! LOL! Learned something new...have to go find that tag blocker now.

I call her Andy...some people call her Drew. She also models for Tattoo Magazines and Andrea Revenant is her "professional name".

"Revenant" as a "last" name is her idea. I think it's a punk band. LOL! Talk about "personal branding". She's a whiz! Makes it up as she goes...lots to learn from that.

Well...I know how you feel.  My daughter unfriended me on Facebook :)!  Beautiful poster of your daughter though and you're right, she can't boot you here.  By the way, how'd your daughter get started into tatooing?  It is something my son wants to do.

She started out painting, and still does.

That's her most recent painting. Being able to design tattoos vs just copy designs gave her a leg up getting in to her first Tattoo Studio job. Often people come in and describe what they want that has a personal meaning to them, and they rarely have a Tattoo Artist who can help them with the design if they don't bring one.

Getting that first job is hard. Are you prepared for the child with all the tattoos? Once they become a tattoo artist, their body becomes a blank canvass. LOL!

That is a beautiful paining!  My son loves to draw and is really interested in tattooing but we have no clue how he gets started.  I figured he would have to go apprentice for someone first.  And...I am prepared as I am going to be.  He wants to get a bunch of tattoos anyway.  I am just making him wait until he turns 18, lol :)!

Brenda, have him pop in to some shops and hang around when they are not busy...but not likely someone will get a job who has no tattoos. You have to wear your craft in that biz.

My daughter didn't block my husband (she must have forgot) so we read and NEVER ever comment so we have the free pass into her life!  lol 

Her best friend has a tattoo sleeve...very artsy.  She is a make up artist (or a wanna be)...

Ardell - It took a year for one of my granddaughters to Friend me (her boyfriend Friended me as well), but her sister just won't do it!  The other two Friended me right away.  Of course, the one most versed in social media is the one who won't Friend me!  Not good for her image.  She gets it!

LOL! They wouldn't dare not "friend" me! :) The other two who are Moms are Gen X vs Gen Y. They let me say pretty much anything I want there without deleting me. But then I guess they don't have the kind of life that depends on "image". Plus they were older when we moved to L.A.

This one is definitely my L.A. kiid.

P.S. She told me email is NOT, Mom. Just in time too because several of my clients are also "facebook message only" or texting types. Short is a text. Long is a facebook message. No calling...no email for some clients. Email is only for sending documents for storing.

Oh...and LOTS of my clients are "no paper"! Electronic documents only.

Odd but true. Rent a 23 year old girl for a week. :)

Thanks Robert. She liked it! We are all so happy that she got a job in Hermosa Beach where she lives. I used the same program that I use for Home Flyers.
