Incredible Pascack Valley Open House Activity on Sunday, October 7 2007

Like a blast from the past, an incredible numbers of buyers were out searching for a home on Sunday October, 7 2007.  I was at 85 OToole Street in Westwood, where 15 groups of buyers flocked to see a new home which had just come on the market. 

If I had been paying attention to the gloom and doom of the newspapers, I would have expected to be able to watch some T.V., read a book, and meet one or two less than motivated buyers. Instead, there was indeed a deluge of buyers, some coming back twice to see this home. 

An interesting article appeared in the New Jersey section of the NY Times this Sunday, discussing the importance of pricing homes appropriately.  So, when buyers perceive good value, they are still out there ready to find the home of their dreams.  Buyers are out there, purchasing homes in the Pascack Valley.  The key is to price fairly so that buyers perceive good value.
