Each weekend Realtors around the world host open houses. There are many thing that need to be considered when hosting an open house. With the upcoming National Open House Event June 4 - 5, many homeowners will be hosting this event themselves along with the Realtors.

The following safety tips were published by the National Association of Realtors this week.

Work with another person

Request local police assistance

Ensure your cell phone is fully charged and accessible

Explore all escape routes in the home

Have all visitors sign in upon arrival

Always walk behind the prospect

Call your office every hour

Ask neighbors to be watchful

Thanks for the reminders.  These and a few more are important, like:
Wear shoes you can walk, (run) in.
Park your car where it can't be blocked in.
Don't wear flashy jewelry  and so many others
