Acoustic on the Beach Jam Sessions - Wednesday evenings from about 5pm 'til about 9pm
The Beach Pub
1668 I Street, Fort Myers Beach, FL
Be sure to drop by the Beach Pub Wednesday nights, as Lou and Tim have just kicked off Acoustic on the Beach jam sessions. Starting around 5 p.m. and ending around 9 p.m. every Wednesday, locals (and visitors, alike) are encouraged to bring their instruments and jam around a “portable” campfire on the beach, behind the pub. Local rocker Steve “the Lucky Dog” Lutke is the operator of the operation, and says it should be a fun time for all. There are no amps or electrical devices … just an acoustic session of chillin’ melodies in a natural setting.
There is no better place than Fort Myers Beach to watch the sun set, the ocean glisten, and let the mood lighten the air and create a little “escape” for just a few hours.
Free Recreational Saltwater Fishing Weekends
The weekend of June 4 and 5 and the Father’s Day weekend of June 18 and19 have been declared as free recreational saltwater fishing weekends in Florida. This means that anyone, residents and non-residents, can recreationally saltwater fish on these weekends without a saltwater fishing license. All other normal recreational saltwater fishing rules, seasons, bag and size limits apply.
All of Florida’s waters are open to fishing and fishing is especially good on Fort Myers Beach!
See: http://myfwc.com/license/recreational/saltwater-fishing/free-fishing-weekends/ for more information.
