Gary Good post, it is so important to help clients understand that showing condition matters. It always did, even though today people are much more conscious of the importance of staging.  Adorable picture too.  Thanks.

Good Showability Sells Homes

  • Access, can people get INTO your house rather easily at a time set by the buyer prospect?
  • Cleanliness, is the home clean from top to bottom?
  • Maintained Repaired Replaced, are carpets and flooring and paint and outside home repairs all up to snuff?
  • Not cluttered, are items in the bathroom and kitchen on the countertops stored away?
  • De-personalize, are the majority of personal items like photos put away?
  • Smells and odors, does the house have a fresh air non smoky or non pet odor smell to it?
  • Drive up appeal appetizing, front door area well maintained along with lawn and shrubs and seaonsal color?

Showability factor in a house with a few basic tweaks can go a long way to leaving a good impression with buyers as they walk out your front door and put your home on the short list. It's really pretty easy and will set you way apart from the next 3 out of 4 houses they will be looking at. Go for it in these areas and receive an A+ from your REALTOR and a little note in the description of your house in the MLS that you definitely want to be true: SHOWS WELL !!!

Ron Harmon, BrokerNothing equals clean, painted, and in order. "Good Showability Sells Homes." And, at top dollar! Any thing less is a costly oversight of the Seller. It even manifest a mind-set of deferred maintenance.
