The home loan interest rates on a traditional 30 YR fixed rate has been falling for the past month making it the lowest so far in 2011.  Freddie Mac has posted that the average rate was 4.61% this past week, which even happens to be the lowest rate in the past 6 months.  Even the 15 YR fixed rates loans were down this week.

Freddie Mac Rate Averages

30 year fixed: 4.61% w/ 0.7 of a points

15 year fixed: 3.80% w/ 0.7 of a points

5 year adjustable-rate mortgage: 3.48% w/ 0.6 of a points

1 year adjustable-rate mortgage: 3.15% w/ 0.6 of a points
