The field is closing; Daniels is not running. I like Daniels but have adopted a "wait and see" attitude concerning my options of choice. Cain is in, and seems to be growing in momentum even though he only has a 29% name recognition at this time. BecauseI don't know a lot about him, I will be watching him on Fox this morning. The Tea Party likes him - the Establishment does not. So far I like his energy and what he is saying. Bachman and Powlenty should announce their dicisions soon; again, I like their views but their is nothing new or energizing.
So far I am disappointed that no one, in the fleid right now, is really making me feel they can beat Obama. I don't want to vote for a candidate because "anyone is better than Obama", I want to feel my choice will win and I can't wait to run to the booth and vote. What difference does it make for a candidate to want to make changes when that candidate can't win. I am not underestimating the Obama machine or the amount of people who will vote party line rather than think about what they are doing.
We need someone who can energize this election; I am still waiting.

We are dealing with an incumbent. From history we know unless there is someone with a message appealing to the majority and a dynamic personality, the chances are in the incumbents favor; Carter is one of the exceptions. I am looking for that candidate; I don't see that as defeatism.
The chances are evens steven, the problem is that I think there are no candidates that sound different than the same ones for years. Maybe they are good, but we live in different times and we need a candidate that talks about how he/she is going to cut spending and seem like they mean it.
You right. We should only look for the candidate who will cut spending. The problem is, no one likes the proposals when the cuts are too close to home.
Just wrote a little blurb about Jon Huntsman...oh, btw Bachman is a crazy person, the fact she gets ANY consideration is a little scary.
Bachmann is only a crazy person to crazy liberals who don't know when to stop spending money that the government does not have - crazy is someone who knows it is wrong but still stands by and says it is the only way.
Congratulations - This post is now featured in Silent Majority of The Active Rain Network!
Hi Karl...I don't know much about Huntsman yet, other than he is or was our ambassador to China. I will check out your blurb.
Thanks Nick.
I like Backmann but am not sure she is ready, beleive me, I would love to see her star rise.
Lois - Bachmann has been standing by her convictions and against liberal spending sometimes alone - and been attacked by the liberal left for years - she is a brave woman - and they call her crazy to diminish her credibility as always.
What do you think her chances are up against Romney? How about those two for a ticket?
Didn't Bachmann imply that folks shouldn't comply with census takers, making a comparison to WW II internment camps?
How about President Obama and Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, best known recently as friends of Barack Obama - how about the radicals Obama has befriended yet never hear about from the likes of people like Karl Hess - liberals without a brain and eyes.
I think you two should put boxing gloves on, you sure know how to rial each other. Your a wonderful example of how strongly both sides feel. I do have to say Karl, I wish I had the guts to not send in my census sheet; there was something about it I found intrusive.
Lois - Oh - I used to box - not anymore - but when I hear what is going on in the mind of people - especially in the political arena - it makes my skin crawl when people try to bad mouth another without proof - call them crazy, radical, racist - anything to keep them quiet and put people to silence. No one wants to run for fear that their skeltons will come out of the closet - yet none of the liberals skeltons come out until after they are elected - how odd?
I can Box & Wrestle & Think on my own ... just sayin ... ;)
Daniels truly does have family issues * he divorced and REmarried his current wife. Pawlenty and Bachmann are set to join and there is talk of Jeb Bush!
You don't have to convince me Jason, I read your posts.
Wallace - I have been hearing the same thing. Jeb would make it interesting but I don't think he will jump in.
Georgia - Love your weenie in the corning analogy!!!!
Hey Nick...here ya go:
Bachmann Rails Against Census On Beck
Lois, from the US Constitution:
"Representation and direct taxes shall be apportioned among the several states which may be included within this Union, according to their respective numbers ... the actual enumeration shall be made within three years after the first meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent term of ten years, in such manner as they shall by law direct."
You give me a view from MediaMatters? Get your information from anyone but liberal "Soros" funded socialist attack dog? You should educate yourself before speaking, you look silly as usual. I just jest with you, but you really are a blind fanatic of the liberal kind. Speak facts and people will listen to you, be a parrot and you look like a hack.
I have been watching him for a while. He handles himself very differently from his father, who I thought had some good ideas but was a little too extreme for me. He is one of the guys in my mix of candidates.
