All the best actors, athletes, and business moguls have coaches. Why would we not need a coach?
Todd, I see you have a lefty there. In a few years she'll be a powerhouse.
Todd, we always need someone to critique us...a coach in real estate is a must...does she hit curve balls?
I've had some awesome coaches in my industry.....they do have the perspective that we who are too close to the action seem to be missing!
Love the pic and the analogy Todd! Can't get there if our eyes are closed to the possibilities!
Hi Doug, cute pic of your daughter, agree with you on the coaches, now if coaches would work on future commissions, that would help a lot of agents trying to get started in real estate or existing ones as well.
A savvy reason to seek a coach's input...well said!
Excellent advice for a coach. I bet your daughter didn't know she was closing her eyes? Maybe afraid of the ball? She has to 'belt it for all it's worth' everytime she's up to bat. Not only good advice for baseball but life too.
Todd,
Realty is a matter of prospective. An objective second opinion can be very helpful! All most people get is criticism for it's own sake from people that know no more and often less than they do.
My concern with coaches and coaching is that many act like some attorneys and other montobankos who feel they have to criticize and make changes not to help, but rather to justify their fee! A good coach builds on what you've got. A great coach speaks just as frankly about what you're doing right as he does about mistakes.

Todd,
Love this analogy! We were just talking about doing even more targeting at lunch today. Critical to keep your eyers WIDE OPEN when up to bat in real estate or any other field.
All the best, Michelle
Todd. That is so cute. I wonder if she thought the ball was going to hit her in the face. I don't blame her if she did.
Great analogy Todd. Keeping our eyes open, learning from others and finding ways to improve our business are very important.
Cal
I love this!! But can SO relate to the daugher with her eyes closed and the bat in her hand! LOL!
That is an awesome title for that picture!
Hi Todd, just noticed that I called you Doug above, don't know where that came from...sorry for the snafu!
perfect analogy! love it, I've been missing the mark for a while now and now its time to open my eyes and jump in and do what doesnt come naturally. Have a great Monday!
Oh, no. Not the old holding my eyes shut tight while being up to bat trick!
Reminds me of some buyers and sellers I know.
And not a few agents.
