Reality Check
The mentality for good entertainment in this country has become embarrassing. We are more interested in watching Charlie Sheen's antics or reading the National Enquirer than reading a good book. We've lost all respect for "real" talent as we watch "Snooki" become an overnight sensation.
Has television lowered their standards so low that anyone can become a celebrity, even if you're an untalented mess? Yes! And why? Because we to have lowered our standards and watch it. Some people even live for it!
It's maddening to see how today's society finds humor in another person's suffering. Weighing 300 plus pounds and being put through hell on national television is not funny or inspiring. It's a pathetic excuse for entertainment, yet we watch it. Don't we?
