Well, just last week I wrote a short post regarding The Player’s Championship, where David Tom’s lost a heartbreaker to K.J. Choi in the first hole of a tie breaker.
Then fast forward to yesterday,(Sunday) and David Tom’s again had put himself within reach to win the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial, Only thing is that another Asian golfer, Charlie Wi, had pushed past Toms on the last day to hold up to a 3 shot lead and was hanging tough and matching shots, but Toms whittled away and on the 11th hole sunk an unbelievable birdie shot from about 85 yards out, it initially dropped past the pin but with back spin came straight back to find the cup. It was as though destiny had willed this week’s match to David Toms, as he overcame the deamons of last week to hold for his first win since January 2006.
What a great match! And another fabulous weekend of Golf!
