Feng Shui Tips by Feng Shui LI: 3 Easy ways to enhance your energy at home

Feng Shui is not hard to implement but, yes there are many details in which you should be familiar.  Simple mindful changes throughout your home can create a huge positive impact for all those sharing the space. Remember, you do not have to spend a lot to increase the positive Chi in your home, honestly it all starts with the mind.

1. To celebrate the season of Spring, and a lush one at that, the first easy tip is to spruce up the outside energy of your home.

Everything is connected.  The land, from Feng Shui LI consultant Laura Cerrano's perspective is very important to address and enhance because that is what supports the structure on which your home is built.  If you have plants, green grass, animals such as birds humming about your home, that emits very good energy.  When you have healthy land, more then likely you'll have a healthy home.  And most likely a healthy and happy you :)

  • Release any dead or dieing plants
  • when creating a new bedding for your front and/or back yard landscape, think curves :)
  • Research the type of plants you seek to add, best to stay clear of any "prickly plants".  Sharp, pointed edges are recommended to avoid. This relates to "cutting" energy in  Feng Shui.  So imagine that energy by your front door, it acts as if it's cutting your opportunities or lessening them.
  • create a sitting area to enjoy not only the beautiful scenery but, to welcome friends and family to enjoy as well

2. Making sure your Front Entrance is "open" to good energy from the inside

Each part of your home relates to a body part on you.  The Front door according to Feng Shui is the Mouth of Chi, where all good fountain, opportunities, wealth...what every your intention may be enters.  Laura always suggest to individuals who are decluttering or are need a starting point to make changes, she suggests the front entrance.

  • Clear the clutter away, so that "helpful People" can enter into your life and help you reach your goals
  • place a fountain, with the direction of the water flowing inward to help the positive energy enter more efficiently into your life
  • You can have either images or word art that offer a nice greeting to you literally and energetically
  • plants by the front entrance (if you have room) are a wonderful addition to stimulate the idea of "growing" for what ever intention you set for yourself

Below is a video created by Laura Cerrano further explaining ways to address your front entrance:

3.  Change your thought patterns, this is probably the most powerful change you can implement...right now :)

When Laura Cerrano talks about declutteinrg, she also refers to the mind.  When we are focused on the task at hand, with no distraction form the outside and inside world, you are cruising!  Synchronicity is working to it's finest degree. Helpful people come out of the wood works, opportunities come in abundance, and you are feeling like a hawk in the sky soring so high.  But, when your mind is filled with gunk, you'll notice all that is good, start to slow down or fall away.

That is why, the last tip "change your thought pattern" is the most important.  You have the power to create what is needed to help you achieve your goals in life. Rather then starting the day and seeing it as, "I hate work", look at it as, how can I advance my business or myself at my current job, what type of clients will I'll meet today and what can I learn from them, what connections will I have today, new projects, etc..

Be open to what the universe is giving you, understand....you do not always have to think inside the box.  Going out of bounce is much more fun ;)  You need both.  A final tip, be thankful for all that you have, for the people in your life, for everything.

Laura- I loved this post because, you're so right the entrance makes a huge difference ... it sets the tone.  I watched the video and now I understand the small alters I've seen in some restaurants and manicure salons.  It all makes sense.

I love the red door.  I've always had an affinity for them in the right place.  And I fully agree with your thoughts that clutter affects things.  I can always tell in my own home that it is time to clean and reorganize things when I have that "overwhelmed" and "confused" state.
