Yes, I saw the Stapleton home on HGTV...really did a good job with it...it's Leed Platinum and Energy Star certified! I think we will see more and more Green building in the future. Have a good day Joan.

Hi Debb, the energy savings on these energy efficient homes are great, some of the builders in Ct are embracing sustainable building.

FYI your LEED points are not correct, the points required by USGBC are:

          LEED for Homes                 LEED BD+C (commmercial)

Certified   45 - 59                         40 -49

 Silver      60 -74                           50 -59

Gold       75 - 89                            60 - 79

Platinum  90 - 136                       80 pts and above

 total possible pts 136                  total possible pts 110

David, thanks for catching that. Hate errors, my face is red (soul is green.)  I have corrected the numbers...and this is NOT for commercial buildings, but I'm glad you included the data.
