Dallas Rain Camp 2001: Highlights of Day 1.
The best part of my day was hearing from Active Rain CEO Niki Parekh. He shared some amazing stats about AR.
- The results of the survey showed that the typical AR member is 50-60 years old with 5-10 years of experience, believes in the power of social media, is a do-it-yourself pioneer, and is tech savvy but not a tech expert.
- Percentage of Active Rain members using the following sites:
- Facebook, 90%
- LinkedIn, 81%
- Twitter, 59%
- WordPress, 46%
- YouTube, 44%
- What Active Rain does well:SEO; agent referrals; relationships; community; information, ideas and knowledge; people; blogging; networking
- What AR needs to improve: stability of platform/downtime; transparency; training/education; service
- > 50,000 blog posts and 200K comments per month (an average of 4 comments per blog)
- AR's google juice is solid (84) vs Zillow (72),Trulia (64), Realtor.com (74), Move.com (47), Homes.com (50), and Craigslist (78)
- AR dominates domain linking (13 x greater than Realtor.com)
- 8% of traffic to AR comes from google images
