Where is it Wednesday...somewhere in West Linn, Oregon

It"s Willamette Park in West Linn Oregon..answer to this weeks Where is it Wednesday 5/25/11

Each week I'll be posting a new picture on Wednesday morning. The title of the blog will have the City where the picture is taken and I'll post the answer Wednesday evening...not only here on my blog, but on  facebook business page  (please click like and add yourself there) as well as tweetin it on my Twitter page as well.

Do you know where it is? Care to guess? Comments are welcome. I'll post the answer tonight.

Hint: It's in the historic district...yes, you need to go through Historic Willamette Main Street to get to Willamette Park.

Willamette Park is located 1100 12th Street West Linn, OR 97068 and has over 22 acres combined with the Bernert Landing Boat Ramp and runs along the Willamette River at the point where it meets the Tualatin River. Along with the various picnic areas, there are several ball fields, stages, a play area, horseshoes and much more. Willamette Park hosts lots of events such as the Old Time Fair in July and the West Linn Arts Festival in September. I've had the pleasure of enjoying both of these as this park is just a mile down the road from me. Gotta love that!

Cindy,

You know I love Where Is It Wednesday! It is a highlight of the week. My best guess is Sunset Park which has both a covered picnic area and water.

Hi Cindy,

Congratulations to Leilani! Two other parks were on my list, but not Willamette. So glad to see another one of my good friends win this one! Please keep going with WIIW!

Hi Leilani, Willamette is the larger park about one mile north and I have the Fields Bridge Park with a nice walking trail and some Meteor history less than a mile to the south. They are both on the River so really nice places to go. I love where I live!

Hi John, Hmmm..now I wonder if Leilani guessed it before I changed the post to reveal Willamette Park...if so, Congrats to Leilani!  I had to smile when my I got an e-mail from my hubby with the answer. I laughed when he even had the address. He said...I can't have John from New Hampshire beat me again! LOL  I loved your what is this from the other day..will you be making that a weekly thing? Much fun!

Cindy,

I'm sure Leilani did the same research I did. I had two other parks on my list. Can't compete with the "Hubs". Cracks me up, I sometimes ask my Chris if she has a guess for some of the AR trivia posts, especially Dawn's. I don't have enough photos (I think) to make a trivia series of "What is This?", but it amazes me how many people comment on some of the silly posts, but don't comment on the serious ones.

Hi John, I know what you mean when you say you get lots of comments on those light posts. I think it has to do with us dealing with lots of stuff, so nice to be able to read "fluff" or"fun" things to break up the other. It is amazing to see which posts get lots of hits...and it's usually the lighter ones! I'm guilty...I love commenting on these :)

Hi Barbara, Oh boy am I glad winter is gone! I was thinking about that this morning when my eyes opened up a couple of minutes before my alarm went off because of the extra light in the mornings. Love that! Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend :)
