Although officials say last month's foreclosure case filings represent a 52 percent decrease over the number of cases filed during March 2010, foreclosures are on the rise.
On April 20, 2011 CBS12 reported that new foreclosure cases in Palm Beach County were the highest they have been since October 2010. New foreclosure cases reported by the Palm Beach County Clerk and Comptroller were up to 900 filed in March, up about 150 from the previous month. Clerk Sharon states "We believe that as banks become more comfortable with their foreclosure processes, they will release files they have been holding and volumes will start to escalate."
