How many times in your life have you gone to the same restaurant, over and over, and ordered the same few entrees? Do you know why you do this? Is it because:
(a) It's your favorite and you can't live without it
(b) It's comfortable and familiar
Now think about what thoughts go through your head when your spouse or friend suggests, "Hey! Let's go to XYZ Steakhouse tonight instead of ABC Steakhouse". You're first thought is probably, What??? Do you have an uneasy feeling? What if the food's not the same? What if the service is no good? What if the place isn't clean and presentable? What if I hate it? What if the prices aren't reasonable?
Now let's imagine that you go to XYZ and are BLOWN AWAY by the service, the food, the presentation and the atmosphere. You had low expectations because it wasn't Old Reliable. And as unbelievable as it may sound, the prices were just about the same as ABC, but it was a much more enjoyable experience altogether! Boy, are you sorry you didn't try XYZ before?!
Well, title insurance is basically like this scenario. Based on my various conversations with realtors and lenders BEFORE they try Sunburst Title, I get the excuses like "We've been using ABC for 3 years," or "My broker/boss suggests we use ABC". There are plenty of excuses, believe me. But their attitude dramatically changes when they use Sunburst Title!
