9 Comments on Churning Storm Clouds Over Kansas
Paul, I grew up in Topeka and remember the sirens going off. But nothing at all like the past few days. And great photo! Stay safe.
That's pretty eerie looking, I can see some faces in those clouds..
Wow! That is an awesome photo! So ominous looking. I love the colors.

Eerie photo and stunning. Please stay safe. I hope these tornadoes stop. Must be very stressful for Midwesterns.
Wow, looks like the movie terminator... Remember when they say a storms-a-brewin...
Patricia - Tornadoes and severe weather have been in the news quite frequently during the past week or so. And it does seem like the weather has been more active in recent years when it comes to the occurence of tornadoes.
Erika - Thunderstorm clouds are spectacular! These are Mammatus clouds.
Gretchen - Thanks! I have some others that I plan to post at my Flickr photo account.
Evelyn - Spring and Summer are the most active times for tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in general. And then of course I live in tornado alley! I've never witnessed a tornado but of course have seen them on video and in photos.
Chris - It's been a long time since I've seen Terminator. I don't remember that line or image from the movie so I'll have to watch that again!
Hi Paul... we had our share of those here in Dallas this past Tuesday! I'm glad that they've passed... for now!
Paul a storm might be forming but the photo is really awesome.
