Raincamp Dallas Rocks the Blogosphere Cont’d
Raincamp Dallas was full of entertaining thoughts like the last one that I left you with on my previous Raincamp post. I am not sure why the thought of a mouse trap and an URL tickled my thoughts so. Perhaps it was because of the image created in my mind. It was, after all, exactly the point Bob was trying to get across to everyone while some were still fast and furiously debating the need for link backs, etc.
The mouse trap and the URL that anchors your text have the same purpose. One catches the mouse. The other is set on the intention of catching the attention of a home buyer or any other subject of the URL for that matter.
Below is an image of a house that will serve as a “mouse trap” in the illustration of the point. A prospective buyer reads my blog and decides they want to see the homes I have written about in the content. Their next step in the illustrative order is to click on the house aka mouse trap. The click activates the URL associated with the image and takes the prospective buyer to the assigned home search page as designed by the URL anchored text that I put into place.
Murphy TX Homes
The illustration above represents one piece of information shared with us at Raincamp. In the afternoon fellow Activerain member and Ambassador Steve Shatsky stepped up to the plate to fill a gap. It was created due to the early departure of former AR blog trainer shortly before the start of Raincamp Dallas.
Steve’s subject matter was on the content of blogging. Steve’s own content that he presented definitely mastered the art of blogging well. By the end of his presentation everyone applauded loudly for a job well-done. Thank you, Steve, for sharing your knowledge and expertise with us.
If you missed this wonderful opportunity to attend Raincamp I do hope you find the opportunity to attend one soon. In the meantime, I look forward to Raincamp Dallas Rocking the Blogosphere in 2012.
