Memorial Day Ceremonies In O'Fallon, Illinois

On May 30, 2011, Monday, at 9:00 AM, Memorial Day Ceremonies in O'Fallon, Illinois start at the O'Fallon Cemetery on North Oak Street. This event is sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign War Post 805, (618) 624-2561.

A Ceremony at the O'Fallon Veterans Memorial follows at 11:30 AM on 737 East Wesley Drive. It will include dedication of new names to be added to the plaques. If it rains, the ceremony will be moved to the Public Safety Center, 285 North Seven Hills Road.

O'Fallon Veterans Memorial Illinois

This Monument is dedicated to those honorably separated veterans who have lived past and present in the O'Fallon Township District. Each year since its completion in 2006, two names are added on Memorial Day. The O'Fallon Veterans Memorial Association, Inc., a non-profit organization and many interested citizens made possible the design, construction, and completion of this perpetual monument. Funded by organizations and private citizens, it is a tribute to our veterans who served honorably and kept this country free.

Yolanda, I'm sure these will be a mighty fine Memorial Day Ceremonies there in O'Fallon, Illinois. And that the Ceremonies will be well attended by the folks there. The Monument sure is a mighty fine looking one.

Hi, Dale. The program includes a speech by one of the generals on base, choirs, and band. It's well attended in the past. If we're in town, I'd try to attend.

Hello Eric - I must have misinterpreted it. They add names twice a year, on Veteran's & Memorial Day. Too late to edit now because of the deadline.
