MEMORIAL DAY PROGRAM SET IN CALABASH, MONDAY MAY 30TH
A Memorial Day Program is planned for Monday, May 30th, at the Calabash Fire Department on Persimmon Road and N.C. 179 in Calabash starting at 11:00 am.
The PUBLIC is INVITED and encouraged to attend and show their support.
There will be FREE HOT DOGS and REFRESHMENTS FOR ALL ATTENDEES.
The program is co-sponsored by the Calabash Fire Department and the Calabash American Legion Post 503 to honor military from all services and all eras, especially honoring those who gave their lives to the country.
There will be special recognition of those veterans who served prior to 1955 in World War 11 and the Korean War veterans. The towns of Calabash and Carolina Shores are participating in the program, as well as the Elks, Lions and Kiwanis organizations. There will also be other patriotic organizations participating ~ Marine Corp League, FDNY Retirees and the Jr. ROTC from West Brunswick High School.
