"Easy and Great!"

This Recipe is very easy and is ready to bake in just 12 minutes.  I love to cook and in most cases like to make our meals from scratch... it usually tastes better homemade and I feel it is a lot more healthier to eat that way.  When it comes to Mac & Cheese...  sure I could make it from the box...  but I have a recipe that not only is easy to make but tastes so much better.  I hope you will give it a try and I'm sure that once you try it you'll want to fix it this way too!!!

Three-Cheese Macaroni

Serve with a green Vegetable and your favorite Protein!

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups of macaroni, cooked in unsalted water and drained
  • 1 can (11 ounces) condensed Cheddar Cheese soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup (2-ounces) shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup (2-ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup (2-ounces) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 can (2.8-ounces) French's French Fried Onions

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  In 1 1/2-quart casserole, combine hot macaroni, soup, milk, seasonings, 1/4 cup each of Swiss, Cheddar and Parmesan cheese and 1/2 can French Fried Onions.
  2. Bake, covered, at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until heated through.  Top with remaining cheeses and onions; bake, uncovered, 5 minutes or until onions are golden brown.

Makes 4 to 6 main-dish servings

Don,  My family loves Mac and Cheese too.  The combination of all three cheeses really gives this one a great taste.  I'm sure this one will be a favorite in your house as it is in mine!!!

Yum! This sounds delicious! Macaroni and Cheese from a box can't hold a candle to the homemade version, and this recipe sounds like it's the best! Can't wait to try it - thanks for sharing!

Linda- one of my favorite comfort foods.  I've only made it from scratch a few times so I'm going to save this recipe and give it a try.  It has all of my favorite stuff... cheese and more cheese.

Sounds so flavorful, Linda.  Mac and Cheese is one of those comfort foods that never gets old.  The addition of French Fried Onions and the use of 3 cheeses sets this one apart.
