1. Set Objectives!
What are your objectives for real estate investing? Is it:

  • Get rich quick?
  • Make monthly income?
  • Invest for the future?
  • Fire your boss?

2. Find a Niche! The market's big. Get in a pocket and master it!

3. Build a Network! One piece of real estate will take countless pros!

4. Start in Familiar Territory! There are opportunities everywhere. Start with what you know!

5. Start Looking! Even if you aren't prepared to purchase, start looking for deals.

p.s. If your objective is bullet #1, don't call me until you have realistic objectives! Investing in real estate is hard work and a get rich quick goal is more like expecting a miracle... Can't promise that.

I like your straight forward approach Kristen. I personally am tired of the whole "get rich quick" concept. That's not realty in most situations. I also love your view on networking. I love "real" networking. I touched on the subject yesterday on my A.R. blog and I have a lot more to say on the subject! I look forward to more of your posts!

 When I read get rich quick on my email, mail or propaganda, I immediatelly get turned off and my first reaction is to spam, spam ,spam. Loved the straight forward attitude. Thats what it's all about.

I agree this get rich quick is just crap unless a relative dies and leaves you a fortune wake up lets work and make it happen
