Just a quick reminder that the deadline for November's Carnival of ActiveRain is Friday Night at Midnight. This could be your big chance to have instant blogging fame, so take a quick peak through your November posts and see what you've got.  This month we are focusing on blogs written for consumers.

The rules and entry instructions are here.

And, hey, those 300 bonus points for the winners might come in handy with the holidays rapidly approaching.  I've got hosts anxiously sitting by their email boxes waiting for your submissions, so please, send in something today.

It's on my list - but no guarantees - will have to read the rules and see what I must do - I thought Mardi Gras was in February, not December!

It's easy, Tony!

And there is Carnival all year in blogging.  What could be better?

Maureen & Dmitry,

I swear, I think I am that guy that will never get involved in a carnival.  I'm not short and I am above that height to get on the rides but I can't find the carnival itself.  Maybe one of these days I will find the carnival and get involved.

Your Mortgage Man,

Nima

When I first joined Kristal told me they could be redeemed at Nordstrom's shoe department.  I'm waiting until I get to 100K so I can get something really nice.  You should see what Kristal got. ;->

Thanks for the reminder!  I've sorta been thinking about submitting a post, but I always thought only 'super-dooper' bloggers entered the carnivals I'd read about.  I'll go look through my posts to see if I have anything that might be worth submitting.

Thanks,
Ann

Ann, you've done some great local stuff recently. Last time the Carnival of ActiveRain was just for people who had never entered a carnival before.  This time it is open for everyone. This is not for the 'blogging elite' (whoever they are).  Besides, most of the 'super doopers' do not blog for consumers, they blog for other Realtors.  And this carnival is about blogging for consumers.

Five entrants into the General information category.

If you submit something to the category and don't get a response e-mail (within a reasonable amount of time) please drop me another line. Don't want to miss anyone!

Already looking to be a tough competition!

It's too late now, but the rules were a little unclear.  It said you had to be an Active Rain member, but did you have to put the post on your Active Rain blog? . . . because mine was on my "other blog".  :-(

Bonnie,

Thanks for pointing that out.  I see your point.  The original intention is that they would be on your activerain blog.  Would you consider posting that entry on AR as members only???

Also, I am not a host, so it will be up to the host how they handle it because I am not seeing any of the submissions this time.

TLW, 3 of the announcements were featured posts yesterday.

The winners announced so far were Chris Tesch, Rich Jacobson, Lenn Harley and Kristal Kraft.

Damion is putting up his blog with his category today.  I will do a recap later, once Damion's blog is up so that it  is all in one  spot with links to the posts.
