Mike's garden 2011-Hard to get in the ground

Every year I grow a nice garden behind my house and this year is no different except it has been difficult finding dry enough days to plant.

However, in the pictures you should be able to see the yellow and white onions, cabbage, regular head lettuce, red leaf lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, okra, green beans, lima beans, watermelons, pumpkins, yellow squash and zucchini squash.

Some of this was planted multiple times because the storms got some of it. I have already been eating the onions and lettuce and spinach in salads. Deer are also enjoying trampling down the plants.

The pumpkin plants package says possible 500 lb pumpkins so I will let you know about that. I enjoy communing with nature and eating the fruits of my harvest.

Mike * our neighborhood deer would eat EVERYTHING before I could get to it in my yard...

Hi, Mike.  My husband would be happy to have his tiny garden patch look close to that.  Like Wallace above, we have deer come out at night and eat everything in sight pretty much.  I would love to see this when it's full grown... it looks impressive even now.
