Target announces stores to open in the Greater Toronto Area
Target recently announced that it will be commencing operations in Canada in 2013. Target will be moving into many, but not all, locations currently operated by Zellers. Zellers will continue to operate in some of the locations that Target has decided that it will not occupy.
Target has announced that it will have stores at the following locations in the Greater Toronto Area. The stores are expected to open in the earlier part of 2013 after renovations have been made. Additional stores will likely be opened at a later date.

- Shoppers World Brampton, Brampton
- Trinity Common, Brampton
- Woodbine Centre, Etobicoke
- Milton Mall Shopping Centre, Milton
- Erin Mills Town Centre, Mississauga
- Square One, Mississauga
- Upper Canada Mall, Newmarket
- Centerpoint Mall, North York
- Orillia Square Mall, Orillia
- Five Points Mall, Oshawa
- Hillcrest Mall, Richmond Hill
- Bridlewood Mall, Scarborough
- Cloverdale Mall, Toronto
