I was out working today when I got a call from Terry Haas - the new RE agent on HGTV's Designed to Sell.  She just moved to Charleston & had a builder client needing to stage a vacant property.  Because it was literally a block and a half away from the home I was staging today I went over to check it out.

Unfortunately because of my schedule & current shortage of inventory (we've finished delivering furniture to the homes we stage this week... that will give us 23 current vacant homes at the end of the week) we had to turn the job down.  She did check out one of our homes - the one we were working on today - liked what she saw and agreed to give us a call again when she needs a vacant home stager.

As they say, it's an honor to be called.... how did she find me?  My website....

I think I am the biggest HGTV fan out there, so I'm just thrilled to be blogging with you!  I was blogging on HGTV's Rate My Space before I knew what blogging was! Anyway, count your blessings we're not in business together.  I would have gone right out there and purchased all new furniture just to get the job!

Good for you, sista!  Soon.  It will happen soon.  You are so good, I KNOW you will be discovered soon.

However, I think you have to be at it for 10 years to be an Overnight Success, no?

Good for you Melissa.  I bet you get another call from Terry sooner than later.  Congrats on all those staged vacants.  Now if the staging gods smile on you and they sell quickly - you are off and running again.  BTW did you recommend anyone to her?  Betty

Melissa, This is fantastic! You are right about the idea that you were at a crossroad here. My thinking? You made the right decision. Gosh, if you are so busy that "the big ones" have to call you back at another time that is fabulous PR! You go girl!
