2ND ANNNUAL SUMMER SAFETY DAY

swimmingAll ages are welcome! Pearland Parks & Recreation wants to help all residents and the surrounding areas have a safe and enjoyable summer. The Independence Park Pool in Pearland will be open to the public for the summer on Friday, June 3. Come join Pearland Parks & Recreation during their 2nd Annual Summer Safety Day. 

There will be information booths covering such topics as sun safety, staying safe at the beach, river or lake, life jacket safety, basic water safety hints and activities and lifeguard rescue demonstrations throughout the day.

If you would like to participate in or sponsor an information booth during the event, please call the Aquatics Manager at 281-412-8925 for more information.

Hi Maggie - it's always a great idea to have water safety events, and the kids enjoy every minute of it.

Hi Maggie,

That sounds like a good event.  Sometimes it is hard to get adults and kids to attend those types of things but it really can save a life to have those reminders and tips ever-present.
