I have to admit that this holiday snuck right up on me. Before I knew it, people were asking me if I had plans for the weekend and when I realized why, it dawned on me.... I've been working too hard lately. Several of my non-REALTOR friends are gone for the long weekend. The people I know who work for the government are all relaxing somewhere else. I, on the other hand, am sitting around my house this morning trying to determine if I want to work more or if I should blow it off and go take care of personal errands before my evening activities.
Oh, at least I do have some non-work related stuff to do that will be fun. :)
But, I also was contacted by 3 clients who surprised me with requests for showings and work this weekend. Oh, the never ending dilemma of providing superior customer service and putting my client ahead of me to constantly managing against burn out.
Who else is with me on being lame this weekend and actually doing some work? Perhaps I should just own that old phrase "work hard, play hard" and just put my energy totally into the non-work stuff when it happens.
