Earlier today I wrote another Blog about the Memorial Day celebration that Katy VFW had planned for Monday at the Katy Magnolia Cemetery in Katy. My earlier blog had pictures of the Veterans that were selling their poppies. I decided to visit the poppy sale at the Wal-Mart located near Katy Mills Mall and I bought a second poppy for my wife.
Above are the guys that I found at the Wal-Mart and they are really great folks to meet and get to know. I told them my father-in-law who lives with us is a Korean War Purple Heart winner, They invited my father-in-law to join the local Katy VFW and also before any exchange of information invited all of us to go the service on Memorial Day that I mentioned above.
As I suggested previously via several blogs please go out and buy some poppies and meet these Veterans. Tell all of them Thank You for all that they given to this great nation...
