24 hours on the job and .......

By
Real Estate Agent with Murney Associates

I have a new buyer's agent working with me. He has been my part-time partner over the last five years, but as of Thusday when he finished his last day as a high school teacher, he's now a full-time real estate agent.

In his first 24 hours as an full time agent he was cursed by a man being evicted from his foreclosed home (he really handled that better than I expected), encountered a female agent he later referred to as "sugar britches who needs to be told that not everyone is out to get a bite" (we gotta work on maybe not being quite so blunt), opened a house and slipped on wet tile before falling on his butt (wish I had my cell phone on camera mode) and found out from showing property to a client that works in a hospital that high school faculty room conversations are G rated compared to hospital employee banter.

guy falling

At the end of it all he agreed that selling real estate in Southwest Missouri is never boring.

Billi, let's hope that not every day was like his first.  That's too much drama.  How is that possible?  He isn't from the northeast!

Too funny.....well, maybe he didn't think falling on his butt was all that funny. But I agree, real estate is never boring!

Hi Billi.

Just think of it as "getting all the trouble out of the way your first day".

Now he can move forward in his new career.

"Sugar britches who needs to be told that not everyone is out to get a bite." I have no idea what that means . . .

I'm sure there's a metaphor for his new FT career in that.

You have to love it when everything goes perfect.  I guess it did not go that way but the next few will.

Hi Billi, it sounds like you are in for an adventure.   He'll certainly appreciate the "easier" days a little better now.
