Whether you are a buyer, a seller, a REALTOR®, or just somebody that likes looking at houses, this could be a great weekend for you...

The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Open House Weekend is this weekend (June 4th and 5th).

Are you taking part?

I think it is a great opportunity to create a bit of excitement in today's real estate market.

If I were considering buying, I would be out there checking out the inventory. Homes are on sale...

And if I were thinking of selling? I sure would be stopping by homes in my neighborhood to check out the possible competition...

As a REALTOR®, I am excited about the opportunity to open one of my listings to the public.

I am holding open houses on Sat. and Sun. I must say I am disappointed that I have seen no add and no word about this National Open House Day. Very disappointing.

It's really funny to me that NAR publishes stats that say an open house sells a home less than 1% of the time it's held open and yet comes up with an entire campaign to hold open houses.

I know some agents that generate a LOT of business from Open Houses so I know it works for some but I've not really met any that said they sell the house they are holding open...I do know ONE agent that has the touch of gold, but only one!

Ron, I agree. Selling homes through an open house is tough. But I keep trying!:)

Joan, it is odd. NAR should do a better job of promoting it. I should have seen an ad run on TV. That would be my dues well spent!
