Throughout the history of our nation, we have seen our military go bravely into battle, armed with courage and willing to make the ultimate sacrifice. And for those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, we are grateful that such men and women were among us. For those who continue to serve, we honor their commitment. For those who return to civilian life, we honor their service.

My generation's war (Viet Nam) cost more than 58,000 American lives - and kids today do not even know what Viet Nam was or where it is located.
Statistics show since 1775 American military lives lost total an astounding 1.3 million. This does not count another 1.5 million wounded. <source>

Our family lost someone in every conflict in history until I broke that chain in Vietnam. Our youngest is currently on his fourth all-expense paid trip to Afghanistan. He has had this tour extended so again, we wait...
