The sun is shinning now and picnics have started, buy the weather was much different this morning and "Several Memorial Day Parades Canceled Because Of Rain In Connecticut". The only Memorial Day Parade that I know of that is still on is in Cromwell, Connecticut, which scheduled their Memorial Day Parade for 6:00 PM today.
I can't remember the last time that Memorial Day Parades were canceled due to the weather. I have both marched in and sat in the side lines with an umbrella due to rain, but this morning it really came down. Hopefully some of these parades and ceremonies that were planned for today can some how still go on at a later time so that all of the work and preparations that went into planning these events will not go to waste.
But if you live in one of the towns in Connecticut that canceled their parade because of heavy down pours of rain earlier today, and your town is not going to reschedule their events, it is not to late to make plans to attend the Memorial Day Parade in Cromwell, Connecticut.
