This Memorial Day Arthur and I drove through Quantico National Cemetery to honor those who have served defending our freedoms. The microphone was off as we passed the Avenue of Flags entering and leaving. We had the mike on as we passed several of the grave sites - the quiet except for the sound of the wind and birds is what makes these resting places of our veterans special.
On Saturday we had the pleasure of attending an outdoor concert at the Marine Museum performed by a newly formed military group "Band Of Americas Few" whose members are former or retired Marine musicians. They concluded with "Eternal Father Strong To Save". If you listen carefully you can hear the "echo effect" during Taps at the conclusion of the hymn.God Bless America
