All across Ontario, Ontarions head to the poll to vote for a new Provincial Government. Polls open at 9 am and close at 9 pm so there is ample time for you to go out and let your voice be heard.

If your name is on the electoral list, you should have received a Yellow voter's registration card n the mail. If you have not received a card, you are still eligible to vote providing you are at least 18 years old and are a Canadian Citizen. Just bring 2 pieces of identification with you and you will be allowed to vote.

If you do not know where to vote, use the "Where Do I Vote" feature on Elections Canada website.

You will also be asked to make some big decisions on electoral reform. Currently the candidate with the most votes wins and will be the representative for the electoral district in the provincial legislature. Under the Mixed Member Proportional system, you would have 2 votes. One vote would be for the "local member", and the other vote would be for a political party.

Based on discussions with a number of persons, most people are not aware they will be asked to vote on this issue. Be informed. To learn more about your choices, visit Your Big Decision.

Don't pass up your right today, go out and make your voice be heard. I just did.
